A tale of of two super clubs with Danny Howard

With residencies at BCM Mallorca and Amnesia Ibiza, Howard’s name has become synonymous with unforgettable nightlife experiences. His sets at these legendary venues are more than just performances—they’re a celebration of dance music’s heartbeat that has made him a firm favourite.
Reflecting on his journey, Howard remembers the first time he went to BCM. "BCM was one of the first-ever superclubs I went to when I turned 18. I was blown away by the sheer size of it back then and I still am now. It’s a surreal feeling to think back to how I was all those years ago, dreaming of being a DJ at a venue like that to now playing it every week, something I never take for granted. BCM is one of the original large-scale venues for dance music in Europe and is one of the best now, it’s a full-on experience that everyone has to get involved with at least once in their life.”
His approach to BCM is about crafting memorable moments. “Everyone is there for a good time and it’s often a young crowd who just want to let loose, so rather than being judged by every track selection, give them moments that will stay with them forever. ”
Among his many BCM highlights, he recalls the first time he brought Fisher to the club. "I’ve been playing BCM for ten years and have never seen it so busy or as bouncing as that night! He brought the energy and was one of the most anticipated nights of that summer. He returns for a third year in a row in August and I can’t wait to see him flicking that wrist in the DJ booth once again!” Howard’s vision for BCM is clear, he likes to imagine each party as a festival in a club with top DJs and production that matches the music. "That’s the remit, that’s the vibe and that’s exactly what you get there with the production that matches the music and world-class DJs."
At Amnesia in Ibiza, Howard is equally enthusiastic. “The residency started in 2022 as a joint party with my friends Sonny Fodera and Gorgon City. Now it’s headlined by Sonny with me supporting every week on the terrace. This year the most exciting thing is the addition of the new club room that is focussing on UK Garage. That sound is having a real moment and we’ve built a lineup of old and new to really showcase the growing popularity of that scene. Sammy Virji is the stand-out name joining us for a few dates as well as Salute and Interplanetary Criminal. Pair those names with legends like DJ EZ and Todd Edwards and it’s looking hot! Make sure you check out that room as well as us on the legendary Terrace.”
Howard notes that playing at Amnesia offers a different kind of challenge. “Amnesia is a bit like a shop window to the rest of your year. When people come to Ibiza, they’re there for the music and whilst it’s still fun like BCM, there’s an appetite for more new, underground sounds but also if you smash a set in Amnesia, likely people will want to see more of you back in the UK and beyond. That said, it’s one of the best clubs in the world so it’s always an honour to play in that legendary DJ booth.”
