BLOND:ISH teams up with Gallery and B Club in London to tackle single-use plastic in nightlife industry

Canadian DJ and environmental advocate BLOND:ISH is partnering with London venues Gallery and B Club to promote sustainability in the nightlife industry. The new collaboration launches on 19 June and aims to eliminate single-use plastics from both venues.

As part of the initiative, £1 from every glass bottle of water sold at Gallery and B Club will be donated to BLOND:ISH's Bye Bye Plastic Foundation.

The foundation was established in 2020 and focuses on reducing plastic waste in the music industry through various programs including the 'Eco-Rider' initiative, which encourages artists to adopt sustainable practices during tours. Over 1,500 artists have signed the Eco-Rider, promoting a greener approach to touring. The foundation's 'Zero Plastic Club' initiative has successfully eliminated plastic water bottles from 24 nightclubs and prevented over 10 tons of plastic waste annually.

Says Barth Rougier, founder of West London’s Gallery and B Club, “Creating a greener future through the music industry and nightlife is really important to us at Gallery and B Club. We’ve already eliminated single-use plastic from our drinks service so partnering with BLOND:ISH and Bye Bye Plastic to work on future initiatives and help spread the word of the foundation’s work is an exciting prospect for us. There’s more projects in conjunction with the foundation which we’re excited to announce soon.”

Adds Camille Guitteau, co-founder of Bye Bye Plastic, “It is genuinely rewarding to gather the support of dedicated players like Gallery & B Club. It shows we can get loving & caring fuel from right within the industry, and create a virtuous impact circle for People, Planet & Party. Now it’s time to widen the circle!”

Gallery opened in March 2025 and has quickly established itself with its state-of-the-art sound system and underground aesthetic. B Club, its sister venue, shares the same commitment to sustainability and both clubs are now single-use plastic-free

BLOND:ISH is soon to start as the first ever female resident at Pacha Ibiza with her ABRACADABRA party set to bring uplifting house vibes all summer.
