Dockland venue relaunches with kanello series

Germany’s iconic Dockland venue is reopening this month following a major refurbishment.

The club, situated in Münster, opens on May 10 with the first party in the Kanello open air series which will run all summer. Jimi Jules and DJ Tennis kick off the season with a four hour back-to-back set. Support comes from Berlin’s own DJ Norma playing back-to-back with Greta Spark and more local talent.

Monika Kruse takes charge of proceedings on May 17 while Oliver Koletzki's label Stil vor Talent celebrates its 20th anniversary with a special KANELLO showcase later in the summer and Marlon Hoffstadt is locked in to play one of only seven European club shows in 2025 at Kanello.

Named in homage to the first club the Dockland crew opened up in 1995, the second incarnation sits on the banks of the canal at a former harbour in Münster.

The venue has hosted everyone from ÂME, Chloé Caillet, Desiree, Dixon, DJ Tennis, Kölsch, Modeselektor, Gerd Janson and more over the years and now boasts a 600 m² transparent industrial roof, weather-proofing the venue while retaining the open-air character. There’s also a brand new, top of the line d&b audiotechnik sound system, LED screens, LED Asteras and a low, immersive DJ booth.

Keep an eye out for more line-up announcements coming soon.
