The genesis of Konstrukt Alliance traces back to 2015, when a group of friends embarked on a daring venture into the underground music scene.

Organizing small techno events in makeshift venues, they forged a collective known as Konstrukt Alliance, driven by a shared passion for groovy hard techno infused with melodic influences.

Inspired by the raw energy and unique atmosphere of Rotterdam’s techno landscape, Konstrukt Alliance honed his craft, blending elements of melancholy with dynamic beats to create a sound that resonated deeply with audiences and fellow artists alike.

As Konstrukt Alliance’s reputation grew, so too did his ambition. From simple parties with friends, and now being a solo artist he ascended to the mainstages of renowned clubs and festivals, leaving an indelible mark on the global techno scene.

With each release, whether it be his acclaimed EP “Galala” or collaborative tracks like “Unleash,” Konstrukt Alliance pushed the boundaries of his sound, captivating listeners with his unique blend of euphoria and introspection. As he continues to navigate the depths of techno music with passion and persistence, Konstrukt Alliance remains authentic; inspiring fellow artists and audiences alike with his signature sound.

“When I came into contact with the music industry in 2015, I started organizing small techno events. The first party I organized with a few friends was in a warehouse belonging to a flooring company. We hadn’t applied for a permit, but naively, we thought it wouldn’t do any harm. Our first illegal party was a fact. To our surprise, we sold out immediately, which motivated us even more to continue. We wanted to get rid of the risks associated with illegal parties and decided to try it in Rotterdam. We wanted to approach this immediately in a professional manner and came up with a new concept called Konstruktion. We organized several events at Toffler & Waterfront. At one point, we got the opportunity to move to Factory010 (Now&Wow club). All members of the organization had mastered DJing by then."

"To prevent the lineup of our events consisting solely of members of the organization, we came up with the DJ collective Konstrukt Alliance. Unfortunately, due to the Corona pandemic, we had to stop organizing events, and everyone went their separate ways. I am the only one left, and I have continued releasing and performing under the same name. I guess I still had the need to express my creativity through music, haha”.

Creativity definitely describes Konstruct Alliance´s approach towards performing. But this is not an arbitrary thing. Back in 2012 he went to the Mysteryland Festival, and in the middle of the rain something just… Clicked!

“In 2012, I first encountered the techno scene by chance. This happened when I was at Mysteryland Festival with friends and we had to take shelter from the rain. We ducked into the first tent we came across, which happened to be hosted by Speedy J with his label Electric Deluxe."

"I will never forget one track that was played, it stuck in my head so much that I had to know its name (track id: Aril Brikha - Forever Frost). Since that day, I started following Speedy J. After all these years, I can say that he has been a great inspiration for my music, and I believe that the entire Rotterdam scene owes a lot to him”.

As Konstrukt Alliance flourished, he sought to carve out a distinct identity within Rotterdam’s techno landscape. The city’s unique atmosphere, with its rougher edge and penchant for darker sounds, provided fertile ground for his creative endeavors.

Inspired by this cultural landscape and underground scene, Konstrukt Alliance’s music began to take shape, blending elements of melancholy with hard kicks and groovy basslines. This fusion of influences birthed a sound that was uniquely his own, resonating deeply with audiences and fellow artists alike.

“In my opinion, Rotterdam has always had a slightly rougher edge compared to other cities in the Netherlands. The sound played here is often a bit harder and darker."

"When I look at my own productions, the Rotterdam sound has definitely influenced my creative process. Cheerful melodies that evoke a summery feeling are rare”

Reflecting on his journey, Konstrukt Alliance recalls numerous memorable moments and milestones. From his first festival performance in his hometown of Gouda to his debut on the mainstage of the Now&Wow club, each experience left an indelible mark on his artistic trajectory. “When I look back, I’ve experienced many beautiful moments since I started DJing and producing as Konstrukt Alliance. The show that stands out the most for me is my first festival performance in my hometown of Gouda. It was a special day because of the good weather, and there were so many friends and acquaintances from the past. so many familiar faces, I can’t deny that I was extra nervous. Afterwards, there was an extra sense of relief when everything went well. My debut on the mainstage of the Now&Wow club in 2019 was also a special moment because I had just become a resident of Rotterdam. I believe that every Dutch DJ/producer has the mainstage of the Now&Wow club on their bucket list”.

A defining release for Konstrukt Alliance is his EP “Galala,” which garnered widespread acclaim upon its release. Produced during late-night sessions while on paternity leave, the tracks on “Galala” reflect a blend of euphoria and introspection, with elements inspired by Southeast Asian influences. The EP’s success not only solidified Konstrukt Alliance’s position within the techno scene but also highlighted his ability to evoke emotions through his music.

“The creation of my EP “GALALA” is very special to me. I made the tracks when my daughter had just been born. I was on paternity leave and stayed awake at night to feed her every 2 hours. I made the tracks on my laptop in the living room."

"When I looked at my daughter, the name of the project emerged. I thought of her roots, which lie in the Moluccan islands. Galala was the village where my grandparents lived together for a long time before they came to the Netherlands. If you listen closely to the tracks, you’ll notice that I’ve also incorporated certain elements that can be related to Southeast Asia. When I started working on the track ‘Galala,’ I was already in a euphoric mood because I had just become a father to a beautiful daughter. If you listen closely to the break of Galala, I tried to make it as powerful as possible. I used epic vocals, Asian sounds, and cinematic drums. All together, the break really has a movie-like feeling that I think evokes emotions."

"Recently, I had the opportunity to play a closing set at a party in Tilburg. When the break of “Galala” came in, I noticed that the crowd recognized the track. I heard more noise in the room, and when the drop kicked in, everyone went wild. This moment definitely gave me a sense of pride”.

In addition to his solo endeavors, Konstrukt Alliance has found success through collaborations, such as “Unleash” with artist N00M1. The creative synergy between the two artists resulted in a track that seamlessly merges melodic elements with high-energy beats, captivating listeners and fellow producers alike. The success of “Unleash” underscores Konstrukt Alliance’s collaborative spirit and his ability to push the boundaries of his sound.

“N00M1 and I got in touch with each other by chance. After some conversations, we quickly discovered that we shared the same interests in sound and decided to hit the studio together. Surprisingly, we had the first draft of the track really quickly. Our aim was to create a track with melodic elements that could still be played during peak time slots."

"We were particularly pleased with the melody in the break of ‘Unleash’ as we found it catchy. We didn’t expect that eventually our favorite producer, I Hate Models, would play ‘Unleash’ for months. The success of ‘Unleash’ was certainly a surprise for both of us. We are eternally grateful that Revised Records has provided us with a great platform for the release”.

Receiving support from established artists like Clara Cuve has been a surreal experience for Konstrukt Alliance, underscoring the impact of his music on the global techno community. From having his tracks played at major events to witnessing the crowd’s enthusiastic response during live performances, Konstrukt Alliance’s music continues to resonate with audiences around the world.

“It’s definitely surreal and overwhelming when big artists play your music all over the world. I’ve been producing for a number of years, but the support for my music in 2023 was insane. In a way, it has motivated me even more to continue despite my busy life outside of music. No one used to play my music before. Now, after the birth of my daughter, my music is being played at all the major events. I guess it was meant to be, haha”

Looking ahead, Konstrukt Alliance remains committed to his artistic vision while navigating the challenges of balancing music with family life. As he continues to evolve as an artist, they eagerly anticipate future collaborations and projects, fueled by a relentless passion for techno music and a desire to push the boundaries of his creativity.

“To be honest, the success of my recent releases came very unexpectedly. As a result, I notice that I’m receiving more and more requests from labels for collaborations. My biggest challenge at the moment is to find a good balance between family life and my music career. There are definitely exciting collaborations & shows in the pipeline, but at the moment, I can’t say much concrete about them. I hope to be able to share more details about this soon”.
