Riva Starr announces new album “Keep Me On The Dancefloor”
The veteran producer embraces disco, funk, and classic rock influences in his most collaborative album yet, out March 27, 2025.
Long time dance music mainstay Riva Starr is to release a new album “Keep Me On The Dancefloor” on his own Snatch! label on March 27, 2025.
The new record marks a shift in approach that finds the accomplished producer focusing on songwriting, collaboration and storytelling while never forgetting the dancefloor.
Developed through in-person writing sessions in London, Naples and Los Angeles with various musicians, writers, and singers, the album takes in disco, funk, soul, filtered house and classic rock influences that reflect the various different eras of his career.
Says Riva Starr, “"Keep Me On The Dancefloor" was entirely crafted through writing sessions with talented musicians, writers, and singers. This approach brings something unique, as being in the room with other creatives adds an extra layer of creativity and depth, enhancing the production quality. Most of the tracks came together quickly, thanks to the incredible vibe and chemistry in the studio.Sometimes, the process needed a bit of back and forth and more than one session to perfect.”
Singer Harry Stone, electro-funk duo Chromeo, Flight Facilities and many more feature on the record which is preceded by a number of singles that touch on themes of connection, personal reflection and the shared experience of music.
