Sam Silver collaborates with GROOVY and Cade Clair on 'Heart Attack'

DJ and producer Sam Silver is back on 9 May with 'Heart Attack' featuring vocal contributions from GROOVY and Cade Clair. The single blends elements of UK garage, emotional dance music, and R&B-influenced vocals to create a genre-crossing sound.

The track mixes up UKG, r&b and emotive synths and opens with a bass-driven rhythm that sets the tone followed by verses from both GROOVY and Cade Clair. The two vocalists bring distinct styles, emotional lyricism and melodic interplay.

It is accompanied by a music video that follows a surreal narrative, beginning with a woman listening to music on an iPod. The video shifts into a stylised nightclub setting filled with abstract characters and vibrant scenes.

Says Sam Silver, “Heart Attack started as a late-night idea in LA and turned into a year-long obsession. Groovy brought the Jersey bounce, I ripped the synths, and Cade sealed the deal. The first version was cool—but we knew it could hit harder. When I sent the new drop, Groovy lost it: ‘Bro—we have to get Cade on this.’ And he crushed it. Easily one of my favorite records I’ve touched.”

Groovy adds more on the meaning of the tune, “Heart Attack captures its name in every way. The feeling of panic and chaos when let down emotionally triggers physical symptoms. Impending doom, a pit in your stomach, a situation that just doesn’t get better no matter how positive you remain. That’s a heart attack, that’s the song.”
