Soundscapes Festival unveils biggest ever edition for 10-year anniversary event

Soundscapes is the leading music and arts festival held on Bwejuu Beach in Zanzibar and from 6 - 11 June it returns for its milestone 10-year anniversary. The event is the fifth Zanzibar edition and it brings with it significant expansions including a 24-hour festival format, an immersive new stage and its largest-ever lineup.

For the first time, Soundscapes will adopt a continuous 24-hour schedule which means uninterrupted musical programming across multiple environments. Part of this is the debut of Cloudscapes, a newly conceived stage located within the island’s coconut groves featuring ambient and experimental performances. It later becomes Planet Lonely for more introspective soundscapes from midnight to sunrise.

Soundscapes will also continue to emphasise immersive design with expanded creative installations, movement and sound workshops, and artist residencies focused on long-form creative exploration. Another returning highlight is the Sole Sound System developed in collaboration with Dubai-based Sole DXB. The 28-cabinet Jamaican sound system will once again power the Oasis stage with high-fidelity audio.

The lineup evolves with time of day and environment and headliners include Dyed Soundorom, Rhadoo, Konstantin, Brawther, Tristan da Cunha, Andrey Pushkarev and regional talents such as Baloo, Daylomar, Zone+, and Omar Fayyad alongside African artists including Culoe De Song, Floyd Lavine, Foozak and Dylan-S.

Final release tickets are now available, with over 80% already sold. Get yours now as well as travel and accommodation details at www.soundscapes.me
